In today’s session of “Patient Talk”, we would like to introduce you to Douglas S. Douglas knew there was a problem with his eyes when his vision appeared as if shades were drawn over his eyes. After meeting with his general ophthalmologist, Douglas was referred to Dr. Notaro who was able to immediately bring him in for a consultation. Dr. Notaro discovered that Douglas’ retinas had detached in both eyes and was scheduled for surgery that same week. Following the surgery, in combination with subsequent laser therapy, Douglas’ vision became progressively better and better. To Douglas, the thought of losing his vision was very frightening, so he was very pleased that Dr. Notaro was able to save his vision.
