Dr. Notaro Rietz provided free retina scans for participants at the Jim Hayes Family Health Fair on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Amherst Senior Center. 100 people had the opportunity to have the “back of their eye” (retina) checked. “We were happy to be part of such a well run event that reaches so many in our community,” said Dr. Notaro Rietz. “Our unique scanning equipment allows for rapid detection of many disease states, including Macular Degeneration and Diabetic Retinopathy, two common sight threatening conditions.”
